Last week was the last week schools & nurseries were open, but we kept you at home just in case. Today is the first day that we cannot go to the playground. For me as a parent, going to the swings can often be repetitive and dull, but today I do not seem to know what we are going to do without swings, slides and see-saws. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
You were super grumpy this morning. I think that\u2019s because you are used to our routine. We get up and have breakfast, then we go to the swings & pick up a quick croissant for you and flat white with chocolate on top for me before you are ready for your nap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today however, there were no swings and Pophams (bakery in East London) was closed even for take always. So when you started screaming at one point I though that\u2019s it, you are turning spoilt and tantruming (even though you don\u2019t do tantrums), but actually, silly me, you were HUNGRY! Hang on, what\u2019s the time, it\u2019s too early for you to be hungry, and there it was – the date on my phone, it\u2019s that date when you turn seventeen months my sweet little Klarica! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Then I felt guilt, because how could I forget, but then again, you were screaming in front of the room Tata was working in and he was on an important call. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
I need to create the new kind of routine for us, the one you will enjoy, emotionally and intelectually grow from and not get bored. I can do that, I taught English to three year olds, I know what kids like and I know where to get resources from. And instead of the swings, we may start doing some exercises or perhaps some yoga, you already know what a downward dog is, you just need to get into the flow. And cooking, yes, we will cook and bake – if only our oven didn\u2019t break down two nights ago when Tata was baking lasagne. We\u2019ll manage, will have lots of fun! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today was the first day I cried because of Corona. It sucks being an adult. The extra energy you need to invest to make the life seem normal for your little one. But we will get through this together my love, and hopefully all this will be over before you turn two.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now let\u2019s take that laundry out of the washing machine and end the day on a fun note! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
