Summer school Mali bilingvali (Little bilinguals)

MISSION

This summer, we want to help parents and grandparents with maintaining the Serbian language with their children growing up abroad, regardless of the language level the children may be at. Through learning, activities and socialization, we develop positive experiences in Serbian, so the children can bring these back to the countries where they live. 

ACTIVITIES

• We cover diverse topics familiar to children
• We practice with children friendly activity books
• We socialise, read and play
• We create through arts and crafts

WHO WE ARE

Lena Poleksić – Mum raising two bilinguals in London for the past six years. They both speak Serbian and English. MA in English Language and Literature and Communications Management, with experience working with children and passion towards heritage language maintenance in children growing up abroad.  

Janja Poleksić – Mum who lives in Belgrade. Defectologist by education (SEN educationalist), with experience working with children with special needs, as well as neurotypical children, in nursery. She enjoys creating things with her hands, in particular knitting and crocheting.
